October 14, 201510 yr You would be better doing to research on line first regarding visa classes and types...as there are different ways of doing this
October 14, 201510 yr Sathin Go here: http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/non-immigrant_visas.html Then click on Types Of Visas: http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/niv_visa_classification.html You'll probably be looking at "H", Temporary Workers, which leads to: http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/niv_visa_classification.html H-2B visa (skilled and unskilled workers) This visa is required if you are coming to the United States to perform a job which is temporary or seasonal in nature and for which there is a shortage of U.S. workers. Your employer is required to obtain a Department of Labor certification confirming that there are no qualified U.S. workers eligible for the type of employment on which your petition is based. xxxxxxxxxxxxxx This www site has a lot of good info: http://www.visajourney.com/content/temporary-worker-guide For now, you have a lot of reading and research to do. October 14, 201510 yr Send an email to the folks at WAT Thai Escondido. Just north of San Diego. Many of the people there are in the restaurant business and I am sure someone will ask around and get back to you with some good advice. Almost certainly some sort of visa agent will be helpful.
October 14, 201510 yr "bring a couple of people to work for us." Why is that necessary? Business reason or personal desire? Is it that you're opening a Thai restaurant and want to bring in a certified Thai chief or just unskilled Thai workers or family relations? While California's unemployment rate dropped below 8% last month for the first time in nearly six years, I'm sure you can find plenty of Green Card aliens and young Americans to work at minimum wage without all the hassle and cost of applying for worker visas.
