Question about non-ED overstay and visa extension.

Featured Replies

Hello,

First of all, I tried searching but didn't find an answer so I'll post my question in a new thread.

I just realized my permit of stay ran out on 7th of October, I guess that would put me now on my 8th day of overstay.

So the question is, can I get an extension of stay at Chaengwattana on my Non-ED visa normally as long as I pay the fine, or do I need to renew my whole visa? (The actual visa is not expired, just forgot to get it stamped.)

Basically I'm just wondering if they'll kick me out or can I extend, would be a bummer if I have to leave and get a whole new visa and all that rally.

Thanks!

The "visa" you had allowed a single entry of 90 days. That visa is now used and of no further use.

Visas are never extended only the "permission to stay"

IMHO I believe that immigration are unlikely to provide an extension against an overstay exceeding one week.

Have you spoken to your school about this issue ?

They might do it after you pay the overstay fine of 4000 baht (500 baht a day).. If not they would give you 7 days to leave the country after you pay 1900 baht for the extension.

What visa do you have now that is still valid. If you have a multiple entry non-ed visa you need to do a border run not an extension.
