Hey everyone,

My daughter was born about 3 months ago and me and my partner are going to take a holiday back to England and need to get our daughter her first passport.

I am British born and my partner is Thai. I am just wanting to get some conformation on a few things.

Application:

- 2 x Passport sized photo of our daughter

- Our daughters birth cert with full translation

- My full birth cert

- my passport and partners passport

- passport/application fee

- C2 form

Is there anything else I will need before I take the trip to Bangkok?

Also, do I need to make and appointment with the British Embassy (I have read that I do and also don't) or can I just turn up and hand the forms in.

Finally, can I get the passport returned to my house in Thailand or do I need to take another trip to BBK?

Any help you guys can give will be much appreciated

Have a good week.

P.S. Babies haha can't change the title.

Sorry, forgot to add - yes you will need to make 2 trips. One for the appointment to submit the application and a second to collect once you have been advised that the new passport is ready.

You don't actually have to go yourself, you can appoint someone to do it for you.

I'll be doing the same thing soon for my son. Is it right that you only need to include your partner's passport and not their birth certificate? I'm hoping so, as the Laotian mother of my son doesn't have a birth certificate.

Application:

- 2 x Passport sized photo of our daughter

> These photo's need to be signed by a 'proffessional Person' who's known you for more than 2 years and can varify true likeness of the photo's to your child (i.e. a Lawyer, Dr, Teacher etc)

- Our daughters birth cert with full translation

- My full birth cert

>The Long Version (make sure its not the shortened half A page)

- my passport and partners passport

> Colour Photo Copies of EVERY page of both Your Passport and your Partners.

>OR, Colour Photocopy of EVERY page of Your Passport and a Colour Photocopy of your Partners ID Card (if Thai) and the ID Card to show on submission.

- passport/application fee

- C2 form
