Thankyou i was not aware he needed both passports

Thai passport will take three days to be issued. Should be used for exit and re-entry into Thailand.

Aussie passport will take 10 days, but you'll have to register the child a citizen by descent first, which can take up to 10'working days.

You should get the citizen by decent form ready as you need proof of identity which the doctor can do for you once you get the passport photos.

Make sure your named on the birth certificate which slso means you will have to co sign the thsi passport application

Thanks everyone i have submitted citizen by decent forms kast monday at tge visa centre in Nana i think i had all the paperwork as they say no news is good news so i just wait now. I have pre filled the passport forms along with the photos and guaretaur section. I arrived back in sydney today but my wife will go to the embassy with the passport form as soon as the citizenship details arrive. The hardest part was finding the officially translator. We found a lovely school teacher in wichianburi. Now i just wait.

Wish me luck
