Surely, in this part of the world, one would be looking at growing either Rubber or Palm Oil Trees rather than trees from a country with completely different climate and ecology. Also it should be noticed that there is much advice concerning the damage to the soil that Eucalyptus trees do.

If you go through the Eucalyptus thread I think you'll see the concensus generally was that there was not much mileage in Euc's - and in any case I dont know any ex-pats who would want to sit around and wait for trees to grow.
