Around midnight from Pattaya to Koh Larn?

This is more a tourist question but perhaps someone has the answer. Booked 4 nights on Koh Larn to relax with my gf, as the public ferry stops at night how can we do some nightlife discovery and go back to the island around midnight, any tips? We are no types for partying all night until the first ferry goes at 06:30. Tips welcome, thank you.

Get a speedboat from the peer at the end of walking street. Might be worth making your initial trip to the island on a speed boat (200 baht or something per person) and ask the pilot about later night return trips. You won't be the first. Need to be pretty brave though to take a night boat in Pattaya.....

Seems a bit odd though - if you want pattaya night life, might it not be better to stay in a hotel in Pattaya, and take the ferry to Larn each day instead?

Obviously it won't be a per person deal - it will be a special trip.

Good luck getting it for under 3000 baht. Years ago the speed boats off Pattaya beach were charging 2000 baht and up for daytime trips to Koh Larn.

For what it will cost it would be better to stay the night and safer - these speedboats are not much more than floating driftwood and dangerous enough in the daytime.

Exactly. After they are all drunk, and maybe worse, it would not be the best idea to get them into a boat at midnight and sail off into the ocean with no clue as to where you are actually going... especially with a lady on board.

Ask the resort you are staying at - if people do it, you want to use a boat you hope you can trust, rather than some randoms who might deliver you up on an beach or island to a load of drunk drugged up fisherman looking for a good time.
