THere still seems to be confusion between "tough" and "safe"....not the same

Again nothing to do with safe or tough....write-off is to do with the cost of replacement parts against value of the truck. In modern vehicles shock absorption is the key to safety, this means that certain areas of the vehicle are design to absorb impact - both inside and outside the vehicle, of necessity, many of these parts are "sacrificial" and therefore need replacing after impact...as their construction is often quite complex or sophisticated the replacement costs are relatively high so a write-off is more likely.

His truck is 5 years old, trucks with far more damage than his are regulary repaired and put back on road up here. DELETED

Can someone remove the" Tough" Bit , it reminds me of last nights Steak.... Anyway Trucks aint no stronger, than a mid range Car, just the hi riders drivers kid themselves.coffee1.gif
