Opening A Small Shop

I'd like to investigate the possibilty of opening a small shop on Phangan. Rent a space and carry a small line of All Natural, Eco-Friendly products.

Can this be done and how does one start the process to get a license to do so? I'm an American and would be fine with having a Thai Partner. Where do I need to start? I'd be importing mostly everything.

Also, how would the visa thing work for me.

No need to have a Thai partner as you are American under the Amity treaty( as long as you apply before Dec 5th, 2006.

The FDA approval will take time to get approval.
