"The Server Threw An Exception"

Featured Replies

Of late, I've been getting a pop-up window "The server threw an exception" when I attempt to open Chrome.

When I do manage to open Chrome, it seems to be running very slow with a lot page opening failures.

I'm in Bangkok on True ADSL.

Any explanations?

Do you have Chrome set to open a 'specific page'? If so, what page. The 'page' may have a bad 'script' attached.

If it's just the default On Startup: open the 'new tab' page (that displays the 'history' boxes) then most likely you've got an issue with the program or its database.

I'd suggest Clearing History and doing a App Reset

Reset Settings (button, at bottom of page)

Otherwise you may have to remove and reinstall the Chrome Application.
