Seven people arrested in fake death plot

BANGKOK: -- Seven people, including the daughter of a woman who feigned death, have been arrested by police for alleged involvement in the forgery and use of a fake death certificate.

The mass arrest followed intensive investigation by Crime Suppression Division police into the suspicious death of 72-year old woman, Mrs Churee Chan-ngarm, during her temporary release from prison for medical treatment after she was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Supreme Court for the contract murder of her daughter-in-law, Ms Ruewprae Chotikarn, an assistant pharmacist at Kuan Niang hospital in Chumporn province.

The murder took place in 2007 at a clinic while the victim was then three months pregnant.

Mrs Churee’s daughter, Ms Rassamee Chan-ngarm, then approached a village headman to issue a document confirming her mother’s death and the document was presented to the district health official to issue her a death certificate for her month.

The death certificate was later on presented to the provincial court in Songkhla to reclaim the five million baht bond put up for the bail of Mrs Churee for medical treatment. But the court refused to return the bond and petitioned the police for an investigation.

CSD police later found Mrs Churee still alive and arrested Ms Rassamee and other accomplices allegedly involved in the faking of the death certificate.

Ms Rassamee, however, told the police that she plotted her mother’s fake death herself.

Vile old runt. From the look of her in the photo she might have been buried and dug up a couple of weeks later.

Agree, and you can find these types anywhere in the world.

In my Thai extended family we have one old nasty know everything 'auntie' who is capable of anything and her personal intimidating approach her attitude, her loudness, her harassing character frightens many folks.

She's tried to convince my Thai adult son to steal my bankbooks and force me to sign withdrawal forms. My son has banned her from coming to his house or contacting his wife or kids. In cahoots with her is her full on loud and very bitter know all ladyboy nephew, about 30 years old, he's also barred from our house.

Many in the family make sure they keep well away from auntie and her nephew. Several times auntie has engaged in heated nasty abusive arguments with the police, twice she's been fined 10,000Baht on the spot by the senior officer at the station for abuse and put in a cell for 24 hours to calm down. Both times the loud bitter ladyboy nephew has been put in a different cell for 24 hours.

Did they learn / calm down? No!

Amazing work can be done when money is involved.

That is hilarious. A night of beers and hearing your stories about that would have me in stitches ?

I'm glad to see these vile human excuses come very undone. No doubt their equally nasty extended family will be all over their homes and carry away property even as we speak. When they finally get out (except that old bitch whose used up her credits) they'll be dirt poor ex cons whose best hope is to steal some moonshine, then immediately find a high bridge over deep water. Au revoir mes Enfants!
