I was told the government is giving out free tablets to throw into standing water to kill mosquitoes. Does anybody know which office is doing this?

If it's standing water in pots just put fish in ,

Or lose gravel, or turn it over and dump the water... yea fish are the best. Society being what it is, poison is often the first and wrong choice.

Free limnology lesson, aedes mosquitos will avoid laying eggs in bodies ot water large enough to support predatorrs, that is even the smallest fish or dragonfly larvae. so poisoming ponds or putting petrolium etc. is counter productive as it actually kills the animals that kill the mosquitos. They actually prefer small water sources like tyres and rubbish, small temporary puddles and the like. Science and real research are not the Thai govt, or peoples srenghth, these "pills" are the equivelent of taking antibiotice for a viral infection. very Thai. very wrong.

I just use salt. I don't trust the local water mains not to suck in whatever chemicals are poured into the ground so I keep my yard as chemical free as possible.
