Need good Pattaya builder

Featured Replies

I've looked at previous posts concerning the above but all relevant posts are a few years old now and of little use. So my question is , are there any good reliable builders in Pattaya or is that another Thai oxymoron. Having lived in Chiangmai for 6 years I have found one or two very good people amongst those less " professional" . My problem is that having bought a condo in Central Pattaya which needs major refurbishment , I have been unable to find as yet any people I feel I can have the slightest confidence in. The reception staff in the condo obviously "know" lots of top quality builders who coincidentally are their dad's, brothers ,boyfriends etc and indeed anyone else who gives them the usual finders fee.

This isn't a particularly huge project involving as it does gutting the bathroom , replacing the small kitchen, fitting built in bedroom wardrobes , replacing the ageing air con unit with an inverter model from this century and interior painting etc so huge sums of money aren't involved . There do seem to be one or two seemingly farang owned companies but the impression given is that they are looking at bigger high value projects such as total house builds and/or Olympic size swimming pools.

Anyone out there who can point me in the right direction or must I bring the familiar faces I can trust down from Chiangmai?

This guy does great work. I've used many different contractors and he's the best. Not always available, not the cheapest, but the best. He just finished the hair salon that's part of Insomnia on Walking street. Incredible job.

He stands by his work and comes back if there are any problems. Great to work with. Worth a shot!

Thankyou very much craigt. Looked at their website and they look ideal for my project .

Let me know if you have any issues, and please let me know how they work out if you use them. I'm quite satisfied. Don't want to refer vendors that don't work out!

It would be great to keep this thread alive. More recommendations would be most welcome.
