It actually does sometimes move a day either side of Full moon if there is a buddha day where no alcohol can be served ... there are plenty of sights on the web such as: http://www.kohsamui.org/party.html http://www.phangan.info/index.cfm?action=night.fullmoon http://www.fullmoon-party.com/ (although even these have different dates but 2 say the 6th and one says the 5th)

My experience has been that if the party falls on a major buddhist holiday -(or the Kings birthday--which I believe does happen this year) then the party takes place the next day.
