Anybody out there got any idea when the fullmoon party is ? i know it is around the 5 nov but also the loy krathong festival is around this date and wondered whether it was still going ahead. thanx :o

Full Moon Party doesn't usually stop for anything..

Full Moon Party doesn't usually stop for anything..

It actually does sometimes move a day either side of Full moon if there is a buddha day where no alcohol can be served ... there are plenty of sights on the web such as: http://www.kohsamui.org/party.html

(although even these have different dates but 2 say the 6th and one says the 5th)

I have only ever seen the FMP date move backwards a day or even two but never forwards.

My experience has been that if the party falls on a major buddhist holiday -(or the Kings birthday--which I believe does happen this year) then the party takes place the next day.
