Jeb Bush abruptly cancels TV time to send staff into the field

Washington (CNN)Jeb Bush's campaign is drastically shifting its resources from the airwaves to the field, scrapping large advertising buys in early-voting states in hopes of reviving his floundering bid for the presidency.

Officials told CNN Wednesday that the campaign will cancel $3 million in reserved television advertising in Iowa and South Carolina and is preparing to spend its money deploying upwards of 60 campaign staffers from its Miami headquarters to the first four voting states -- Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. The move will double the staffer presence in New Hampshire to more than 40.

The dramatic spending shift comes as Bush redoubles his efforts in New Hampshire, where the former Florida governor is locked in a battle with other establishment favorites for top billing in a state that traditionally favors moderate candidates. Bush's super PAC still plans a $3.6 million Iowa TV campaign between now and the caucuses on February 1, but Bush's reduced airtime will nevertheless raise questions about how hard he plans to compete in Iowa.

When you have spent 60 million dollars and you are part of the 4% club it's time to shake it up a little. tongue.png

As much as I dislike the name Bush. Jeb is beginning to look like a much better alternative to The Donald.

Sure, someone less nutty to play the role of loser to HRC.

which does not say much about Bush and plenty about Trump.

I am beginning to feel the same way about Hillary. In a general election of Trump against Hillary, I would have to hold my nose and vote for the Dragon lady.Heck in a General election between between Trump and a poop throwing chimp, the chimp would be the better choicetongue.png

The chines have a curse "may you live in interesting times"

We sure are living in interesting times brother.sad.png

..........hmmm...

Anyone have a time machine for Credo. Send him back to the GWB days. How soon we forget. I must say "Just call me Jeb" is a real chameleon. He keeps TRYING to reinvent himself. I wonder what he will morph into next. He has been so placid this last while I think he had a Jesus experience and realized how full of BS politicians are. It is the Christmas season. He cannot be a dog in the manger forever.

Jeb's days are obviously numbered. If he really hates the Donald that much, he'd be better off dropping out now and throwing his active support to a real contender now, at the New Hampshire-Iowa stage.

John Ellis "Jeb" Bush has no clue. He is in over his head.

It is the very welcome last gasp of the Bush family in national politics and government.

It might be some measure of justice that the year 2000 vote chad fiasco in Florida when he wuz governor has come full circle. Justice being put on the Bush family is Jeb getting schlonged and run out of the campaign by none other than a Donald Trump clown idiot buffoon who out of the blue decided to run against him as a Republican.

Saddam is laughing in his grave.

Sadly, I fear it is too little too late. Governor Bush allowed Trump to (falsely)define him over the last few months. He should have immediately stood up to Trump and exposed him as the know-nothing, loud mouth that he is. The other legitimate candidates would do well to learn from Governor Bush's costly mistake.

Jeb's panic is all about Trump. These are death throes of a wanna be candidacy. Jeb was the anointed of the R party but the rank and file are having none of it. As a matter of fact the rank and file are having none of the R party.

The self-appointed leaders of the R party are in full panic mode. They have a Trump who they can't control. They'll be out of control for the first time in a century. They are now the outsiders, looking in. Their boy Bush is a true 1%er - he has 1% of the vote, LOL. cheesy.gifsmile.png

Cheers.

He is a smart man ..a little soft spoken and not brash.

Ben Carson is a great man. If he only had some political experience.

I really like Marco Rubio. He is very clever, very charismatic and he makes Hillary look OLD.

Bush don't stand a chance. I think it will be Trump and Sanders with Sanders taking it. America is tired of business as usual in the government. Outsiders and those who are willing to take a chance and speak their minds are who people are interested in for the next president.

Sorry to be the one to break it to you, but Sanders doesn't want it. He is GIVING it away to Hillary.

The only thing that will prevent Trump from becoming the Republican Nominee is a brokered convention where the 'super delegates' decide who the winner will be behind closed doors.

Ben "the knife" Carson is a crackpot in politics which makes him at home in the Republican party. A Republican POTUS in 2017 to include a Jebush but any one of 'em might just go ahead to appoint him to the cabinet, say as secretary of Department of Health and Human Services.

Or perhaps as Surgeon General of the US in the department, where Carson could wreak havoc across the nation's health care and social services systems public and private.

Both Bush and Rubio have their political careers in Florida where Trump is trouncing 'em both in the polling of Republican voters.

We'll know more by mid-February, but if Trump is still going strong after then, when the Republican party Florida primary voting occurs, Bush can expect a whuppin if he's still in the race, and Rubio couldn't possibly look good losing his own state to anyone much less to Donald Trump.

No matter who Rubio happens to be standing next to, he looks and sounds like the (overdressed) president of his high school junior year class.

Trumpolini effectively froze the Jebster's campaign with 2 magical words: "low energy" and the more he squirms to break loose from that curse the more ridiculous he looks.

He an inflexible man dancing on the end of a string controlled by Big Sugar and other corporate puppet masters.

The only one I'd take before Trump is Rand Paul. There needs to be reduced government and reduced military. There also needs to be an end to wars and an end to the federal reserve.

Ok beers all around.

Lay your bets down.

As the game of thrones say the Lanisters always pay their debts. I will do the same. But come to Rayong.
