Public Gyms, Pull-Up Bars

Featured Replies

Has anyone seen pull-up bars and other basic gym equipment anywhere around Chiang Mai?

In Bangkok it's very common to find those in the public parks.

I've been in the city for a few days and I go for a run every morning at the stadium but I have not seen any gym equipment in the public areas.

Thanks in advance.

Under the 'middle' ring.

From 700 year stadium, across the lights, through the underpass, over the river.

And it's beneath the bridge ...... so do a 'U'ey right after the bridge and loop under.

Full outside gym.

Thanks.

The place near the Sibsan Hotel is way up north. I'm staying near the muang chiang mai stadium.

Went to the Huay Keow arboretum this morning. It's a great place to go running but I didn't see any workout equipment there.

I'll check out the Nong Buak Public Park tomorrow.

Any other options nearby?

Check out the park at the CMU campus on Nimman. There is a small assault course and plenty of space for jogging.

After exercising you can eat at the Lemon Tree directly opposite. Good cheap Thai food.

This is a neat little place; I found it by accident while running past it. The jogging trail is 330m but is pretty twisty with sharp turns so not really conducive to long runs....8 or 10 exercise stations, IIRC. Lots of shade as the place is laid out in an arboretum of sorts.

For a longer run, jog around the campus building and gardens. There is plenty of space there, lots of people playing badminton and soccer...
