Have any of you guys taken your children to the UK without their mother??? I am taking my daughter (12y/o) to the UK in March (but without my wife) She has 2 passports.. I think i am correct in saying she leaves on the Thai one and arrives on the UK one.., For the purpose of the ticket application do I list her as Thai or English and enter Thai or English passport number?? and will i need any permission from the wife to take her?? cheers guys..

She will need to show the airline her British passport or they will go looking for a visa. Her Thai passport can be used at passport control to save them looking for entry stamps etc. British passport on arrival in the UK.

It is a good idea to have written permission from the mother, perhaps more so today than a few years ago. There is the concern that a child may be trafficked or in the UK, radicalised!

Book using the English passport.

May need birth certificate if new passport.

Note from mother, nobody has ever asked.
