BANGKOK: -- A 70-year-old fangirl has made local media headlines after vowing to give THB1 million cash and a house to national heartthrob Jirayu "James" Tangsrisuk if he pays her a visit.

Grandma Tongbor Suwanchan, a Yasothorn native, flaunted her title deeds and asset documents to the press Tuesday and said that she would dole out some of her fortune to the 22-year-old soap actor if he comes to see her.

"If only I could see James in the flesh just once, I'd be happy to give him my assets and THB1 million cash as soon as I see his face," Tongbor told Khaosod.

Tongbor said she has followed James' works for over three years since he shot to fame in the lakorn "The Gentlemen of Juthathep.

Reverse the genders and the offer would have been made in private and possibly accepted. Can you imagine if he took her to lunch and refused the money or passed it to charity, adorable photo ops abound. his fans would wet their panties.

Granny also knows she would never be expected to actually follow through on her vow because Granny is probably considered off her rocker, a little old lady saying the cutest things, losing her mind in her old age, etc.

What a great PR opportunity for "James" - and a potential mine field that will test his integrity.

The right thing to do would be to pay a brief visit to the elderly fan, pose for press photos with her, and then kindly refuse to accept the cash and house.

The wrong thing to do would be to follow the invitation just to receive the promised gifts - after which he'd probably be torn to shreds by the press and social media commentators.

Likewise wrong would be if "James" did NOT follow the invitation at all, effectively telling his fans that he doesn't really care about them - which again might entail media outrage.

Now let's see whether "James'" moral compass works correctly, or at least employs some sensible PR advisers. Will he be greedy or genuine?

If I were him I'd be desperately searching for a stunt double then.

The granny's also inviting burglars and thieves to her home when she flaunted her assets to the press.

yep. she is basically asking for it.

Better she flaunts her assets than flaunts her ass.
