Tot Fibre 2U Speedtest Request

Featured Replies

I am in Phuket and also interested in installing TOT F2U soon, but have been told that when the single gateway becomes a reality, the speeds you get now will no longer exist.

Can someone on tot fibre 2u basic residential package daytime speed test on the following destinations.

I have 20 MB, ( 11 MB upload speed) but have no idea what a fibre 2 u basic residential package should be?

I'll check it out when I'm home this evening and let you know.

EDIT: test done with throttled bandwidth and other user on the WiFi, see next post.

I have ToT fibre 2U (30 / 3 Mbit/s package).

First test gives 18.75 / 2.41

Too good to be true tongue.png Ah well to Singapore the connection is overland and pretty good.

(and I am not completely alone on the WiFi)

Switched off WiFi (someone unhappy).

Switched off bandwidth control on the router.

29.69 / 2.97

Really too good (almost the nominal max. speed).

I am skeptical.

30.12 / 2.93

A fake if you ask me. Cached/buffered/mirrored whatever.

Forgot to use a stopwatch.

I use a download manager (DownThemAll).

The file rushes in with close to max speed (I have NetSpeedMeter running) and DownThemAll shows some multi megabyte number per second (about 3.5 MByte/s ~ 28 Mbit/s).
