Hello Forum, I'm starting the settlement application for my wife. Am I correct when I say the online application is the VAF4A? And I don't need to print one out from the Home Office web site snd complete by hand?

Before I started the online app it instructs you to complete the above and the Appendix 2.

Also do I submit the SU07/12?

It's confused me already.

Assuming you are in Thailand you do everything through the Vfs Global website.

Quite straightforward. Submit VAF4A online and then print for signature by the missus.

Last SU07/12 I saw was hand written.

You complete the application form online and once submitted print it off so the applicant can sign it and take it to the UKVAC with their supporting documents and the completed financial appendix and the documents specified in Appendix FM-SE which are relevant to you when they go to have their biometrics taken.

The financial appendix is printed out and completed by hand.

You may find UK settlement visa basics helpful; though it is a little out of date; the approved English test providers in Thailand for example. You'll find the current ones on page 8 here.

The sponsorship form, SU07/12, is not usually required for family settlement applications. If for some reason they decide they do want one, they will ask for it.

Thank you 7x7. Very helpful and some great info I haven't seen before. I don't suppose it will effect the application if I add the SU form if it's not needed?
