Samples 'confirm IS used mustard agent in Iraq attack'

LONDON: -- Sources at the global chemical watchdog say sulphur mustard was used last year in an attack on Kurdish forces in Iraq blamed on Islamic State (IS) militants.

The Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) was sent samples after 35 Peshmerga fighters became ill near Irbil in August.

On Monday, the sources said the samples tested positive for sulphur mustard.

The aim of terrorists, surprisingly, is to terrorise. Chemical weapons are a sure fire way of achieving this, so it comes as no surprise.

What is surprising, is the lack of comment from the Human rights, Geneva Convention and International law Brigade.
