Immigration Blacklists

Featured Replies

my thai gf and i are trying to organise a student visa for her to come study here in Oz. i sent her money a little over 6 months ago, the agent my education provider uses said it should be fine as we parked them in term deposits and now of course has turned around saying it'll be very difficult.

basically, she says if we don't get the visa my gf will be blacklisted does this blacklist exist?

i don't particularly want to be lieing about this, especially if she can be blacklisted, i am opening a bank account with her here in Oz just getting her witnessed in thailand before i can open it here. i was thinking of sending the money back to our bank account here and trying to use that in 6 months at least then i have 1 yrs statements and in the mean time bring her here for a holiday. would they look furhter than a yr if the accounts were in joint names with an aussie being 1 of them?

i guess if that was to fail i'd go for a fiance visa i just don't want to be rushed into this, especially when she hasn't even met my family yet.

thanks

Damo

It does go on record that a visa application has been unsuccessful but it will not put her on a blacklist...it means that the next application will need to be a lot stronger.

There is an immigration blacklist but this is mainly for people who have breached visa conditions.
