Eating Experience At Home

Yesterday I tried some new eating experience at home.

Barbeque at home

Soup, Chicken, Pork, Shrimp, vegetables, noodles, chilli dip, egg, barbeque with charcoal and chopsticks,

Enough for 3 people delivered too your door for 200bht.

I ordered the food on the telephone at 6:30pm, 6:50pm received the telephone call in Thai “cannot find house where are you”. Not being able to speak Thai, walked to the security guard on our site and asked them to explain. Within 5 minutes the delivery man was at my door along with the goods listed above.

On the delivery mans motor bike was a big box of food and several cement barbeque pots. One glowing fire red, and the rest dull and fireless. The food was carried into the house while half of the contents of the red barbeque were poured into one of the dull barbeques. Charcoal then added to both.

220bht later the food was delivered, fire in the pot and the man was on his way.

We spent the next 90 minutes having great fun. Firstly not knowing what to do with the vegetables and roar egg. With several items discarded, a few bottles of Chang opened, added Pringles from 7/11, the chicken spitting away and Ray Charles playing on the radio gram, our evening began.

Unlike a barbeque in the west, the meat was cut thin, very thin. The cooking pot was the same as used on the beach to cook prawns.

This was to be a fun evening, with everyone getting involved and sharing. I can recommend this experience to any member here.

Up until now I have been unable to find the details of a company that provide a spit roast in Pattaya. I would love to have some friends around with some Chang and a spit roast on an evening, if anyone has details please let me know. Thank you in advance

Or you could go to " Rarn Geng " on South Pattaya Rd ( opposite the shell petrol station )

and eat all you can eat for 99 baht !!! per person

they have shrimp ,crab,squid, beef,pork ,chicken,vegatables,eggs,noodles,asortment of currys,french frys, make your own papaya salad,ice cream..etc etc....

beer and soft drinks are extra but its still outstanding value..

Rocky... did you get to keep the cooking utensils ??? if so it's a pretty good deal.

Next time you have the bar-b-q at home please put coloured balloons outside your front door so that we can all find your place.
