Thai Visa "Suspicious website" !

Recommended Posts

Posted

As well as the connection problems I'm still experiencing, I am now regularly getting the following message from Norton as I navigate around Thai Visa:-

"Suspicious Web Page Blocked

You attempted to access:

For your protection, this web page has been blocked and submitted for review. Visit Symantec to learn more about phishing and internet security.

It is recommended that you do NOT visit this page, however if you know that this web page is safe, you may choose to visit this web page anyway.

What is going on?

Has Thai Visa been somehow hacked?

Are member's computers at risk?

Hopefully this will receive a better response from Admin than my previous question about connectivity!

Ps: Solution, contact your AV Solution and report a False Positive, they will investigate and will get a new AV definition out.

Additional Note:

I was earlier today browsing the Apple Forum and my Virusscanner warned me because of a Suspicious link in one of the posts.

One of the moderators removed that specific post as it was from a Spammer, so maybe this is what the OP is seeing ?

Edit: So not the Whole Thaivisa site is suspicious but just one Post in one topic ??????

I use Norton 360 on two computers that access ThaiVisa...I do not get any warnings...never have in years to include the Link in the OP.

Don't think so, as I've been getting it when first going to the main forum index page or the index page of a sub forum; unless there's a suspicious link in a post somewhere on the whole forum and it's picking that up!

Anyway, thanks for the comments and advice, guys.

Over the last few weeks I repeatedly saw spam posts (the get rich quick stuff etc.) which usually live for a few minutes only.

Would be an explanation for an "on access" alarm.

But should be temporary.
