going from Thai to Japan

Featured Replies

Hi , what i need ? i heard that u need onward ticket away from japan, but then i read people's responses like that they traveled 50times over 2 years from and to japan and never was asked at airport for return ticket...

Do i need a proof of where i will be living in japan?
When i came to thailand month ago, they didnt want to let me go tru imigration police w/o stating name and adress of hotel, at the end, they didnt care and name was enough, didnt care for proof of paid hotel or anything.. is japan more strict with this ? can i just google name of hotel and lie? can i also lie with flight onward ticket and just buy something like refundable flight ticket and cancel flight afterwards? or will they strictly control if i left japan on a date that was on refundable ticket at the day i entered japan? will they give me free visa (normally max 3 months) only till the day of flight? (so then obv should choose flight in like may 25th) Or can i just say random date cuz this is just byrocracy and nobody cares to control and i can then leave japan whenever i.e. stating i leave in month, but will leave in 3months when free visa ends... ?

Lying, in relation to any matter of immigration is, IMHO, foolhardy and likely to end in regret.
