PATTANI: Five police and one civilian were injured in a car bomb explosion shortly after noon today in Muang district of Pattani province.

The civilian injured was not identified yet but initial report said she is an employee of “Meeting” foodshop which is located in front of the border police’s “Tan Tawan” base in Muang district.

The bomb was hidden inside a car parked in front of the foodshop.

Among the five officers injured is Pol Lt Suradech Sapsombat.

They were rushed to Pattani hospital for treatment.
