Going for a prospect visa application with my thai girlfriend and i live in western australia

I just have a few more questions as we are in the final stages of putting our application in.

1 Do i need to do a police and medical report or just my thai girlfriend.And does this happen automatically or we need to do this when we hand in main application in bangkok.

2 I olso have original copy of my birth certificate, and pasport. but got a justice of the peace to singn to say original is this ok.

3 I was'nt keeping my phone bills to prove i was calling her and olso texting her. Have started to keep them but only have a few.

4 How many photos would to many, was putting 10 together, with 4 letters.+ 4 money transsfer.

5 At the time we meet her english was'nt good she was'nt writing to me but sending me text messages after a couple of months and practiceing

Only the applicant needs a police and medical check. The medical results are sent to the embassy so she will need to get that done before the application is lodged, the police check needs to be done before as well....contact the embassy to find out where to get these done. This area has been covered in other posts regarding Oz Immigration.

Certified copies are what they want, so that should be ok.

Phone bills...send what ever you have at the time you put the application in.

I would submit some photos from different times...eg: Loy Kratong, Songkran, Christmas etc...If you dont have these types of photos submit ones from various situations where you have been with her eg, Temples, Parks, Funfairs and even bars. I would probably give at least 20-30 photos for a prospective spouse visa.

I have the same problem in that me and my girl have been sms'ing a lot and dont have a lot of letters...I am now getting the info from my Mobile providers website which shows all calls and sms's that I have made...my application should be going around June/July next year....

As we have said before....put in whatever you think will assist the application, no matter how trivial it seems.

My wife and I are in the same process as you. We spoke to the embassy in bangkok on the phone regarding the medical and police check. The officer I spoke to on the phone said the application could be lodged before taking the medical and policae checks, or after taking the checks. Its up to you, you can do the checks first and that would make the application processing time quicker. However, if you are ready to submit your application and have not taken the checks yet, go ahead and submit the application, your case officer will just tell you to do the medical and police check.

All the advice so far is correct we got our Fiancee visa 2 months ago.

we got the police and medical checks done first just to speed things up, you need forms for the medical check we got ours from the visa application center.

She can just turn up at the police headquarters in Bangkok for the police check it takes about a week for them to do the check and then we had to collect it.

You can lodge the application at the visa app center and will then get a interview date sent to you for about 4 to 6 weeks later or call the embassy and make an apointment to lodge and have the interview on the same day(we did this and got the interview within 2 weeks).
