I'm looking for motorbike to rent in Khao Lak that will take a deposit instead of keeping my passport. I will not leave my passport with anyone. Does any one have any recommendations.

Do not have a specific company for you but there are a lot up there you'll see the bikes parked out front. At least have some copies you can leave with them, but you still may have to troll a few before finding a shop o.k. with the copies..

They have gotten stickier about this matter. last time I rented a scooter here in Phuket they demanded I leave it even though I had copies. They said too many bike thefts.
