I am looking to purchase a new car, my financial situation is that I am currently living off of savings and investments, but in 12 months time will start to receive a regular income and will then have the money for a cash purchase. The problem is that I am inpatient and would like to purchase a car now, I am married to a Thai National, we own our own house, albeit in my wife's name, and she does have her own small business.

Does any one know how I could obtain finance for a 12 month period, with a view to paying off the outstanding balance in a years time?

Would appreciate any advice that can be given

Yes, sure. Why not? Her/your house could be used as guarantee + she seems to have monthly income. Nevertheless there could be an requirement for a guarantor but in your case it is not a must.

Decided to buy a new Honda. Could put 500K down & so wanted 300K from the bank. After many preliminary questions re my finances (I have an annual extension based on retirement which means I have a minimum of 65 per month) I gave up & transferred a chunk of cash at a crap rate (but still cheaper than bank interest.)
