peterdwje2 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Hi, If I don't have the 90-day reporting receipt in my passport, is it ok to travel? Tracking shows they received my report by mail on Mr 3. I put EMS-equivalent stamp on return envelop but haven't yet received. The due date for reporting is Mr 18. I need to travel Mr 19, a 2-3 week trip. So I'm wondering if immigration at airport checks whether I have the receipt in passport, if its absence affects leaving and entering. I have O-A retirement visa. Also wondering if there's some department at Chaengwattana I can call to check on status. Thanks
sunnyjim5 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 The "missing" 90 day report receipt will not affect your ability to travel in any way !
KhunBENQ Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 No worry, no one asks for the report and no alarm set. Even if it got lost, chances are that it would go unnoticed. Next 90 day period starts from the day you return.
ubonjoe Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 Immigration on departure from the country do not care about 90 day reports. You will probably have the receipt by the time you leave. They may of not processed it yet since they received is so early.

Funny you should say that but Chiang Mai Immigration at the airport checked my 90 day report as I was leaving for China, they checked the date and said OK, then removed it from my passport and kept it.

Many people pull the slip out of their passport before leaving and save it to prove they did the last report before the left in case there was a problem when doing the report after returning. It is certainly not some immigration looks for.

Only because you left it in your passport. Never have, never will, never been questioned....and I just flew out of CM four days ago. Next.
cyberfarang Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 2 weeks ago I went to renew my 5 year Thai driving license and for the first time was asked to show my 90 day receipt. I wouldn`t want to say one way or another, you could be unlucky and asked for the receipt, but I definitely would not say it won`t happen and you`re safe, I don`t think anyone could.
laislica Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Perhaps take the postal tracking evidence with you, at least a picture on the phone?
arranjg Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 You will have no trouble at airports etc if your 90 days notification slip is not in your passport. I, too had to phone CNX Immigration as to why my last 90 days postal report was not returned by the expiry date. I had sent the last 4 or 5 reports by post with return stamped/addressed envelopes. I was told they do No Longer Return these by post (even if you do enclose a SAE) Despite not announcing this Anywhere, you must now go to the Immigration office at the airport and collect it yourself. Yet another example of changing rules without any notification.
MadMac Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Got the slip collected previously from immigration in Suvannabhumi. But yes, probably because they saw it, no slip, no collection, no problem. They have your data in the computer anyway.
