Oz Tourist Visa If You Are A Tourist Too?

This is a different one I hope someone can give me the info.

I'll be visiting Cairns and Brisbane next year. About 4 days each as port calls with my ship.

I won't need a visa as I am in the service but how about my lady? How would that work and is it possible? Just want her to fly in for a few days as I will have been underway for quite awhile if you know what I mean.

Obviously I am not a resident so how would/should I go at it. Buy a round trip ticket way in advance? What else.?

I mean this is really a tourist deal, not the tourist and I'll stay with my teeruk for 2-3 months.

Any ideas ?

I would think that she will need to do a solo application...which means she will need sufficient funds and a good reason to return...you could add a covering letter to address your situation...but I think they would look for her to be self supporting.
