Third Transformer Blows in Less than One Week

With your obvious knowledge, skill and experience why not offer to fix the problem and teach the engineers how it should be done.?

Ever heard of a thing called Coincidence ?

Ever herad about a thing called Maintenance ?

I installed a transformer 5 years ago, it came including a 5 years maintenance service contract. They still have to come around for the first time.

If you have a 5 year maintenance contract I would have expected that an annual inspection would have been undertaken as preventative maintenance

That's also what I had expected, and was actually told by the manufacturer, but I guess they must have misplaced my sales agreement.

Was going to post last eve when coincidence number 4 hit again, the Transformer/fuse/box/electrical regulating device, [hope that covers every ones interpretation] next door. Thought about it, and thought its not worth it.... hell with it .They had it fixed in couple hours.

Then about half hour ago heard another go somewhere close by, and within 5 minutes the one from last night blew again .... beginning to sound like a war zone .... Now we re getting hail ! !

Last night had a transformer "smoking" down the street. Called the elec. people who said they would send someone. After 3 phone calls and 3hrs "Somchai and the dudes" show up in their pick up.

Me: "Smoke coming from the 3 connections at the top for at least 2hrs earlier"

Somchai: "Can't see any smoke now"

Me "Well it is kind of dark" (9pm by the time they turned up)

Somchai "If we fix it now we have to cut the power for the whole street"

Me "So?"

Somchai "If its still smoking in the morning call then"

Me " You mean like if it hasn't blown up by then"

Dude no. 2 "Oh it won't blow up"

Me "I'm going to hold you to that"

Somchai " Well better to fix in daylight"

Me "OK get the picture you are saying not an emergency but needs to be fixed"

Somchai "Errr yes"

Me " OK we'll call in the morning and of course you guarantee it won't blow up "
