Hi

My backpack needs a sewing job. I got good hints in this forum before and have used "Mr Bag Fix" in both Chiang Mai and Bangkok. They were ok in CM and even very good and quick in Bangkok, but very expensive. They had a shop in Pattaya but that is gone now.

Does anyone know how to get a quality heavy duty sewing job in Pattaya?

Thanks

There is a shoe repair guy across from Tuk Com and down a bit.He has a heavy duty sewing machine and has repaired luggage for me, it might cost you 200 to 300 baht

Thanks. I'll walk past there tomorrow so I'll see if he's open. Across from Tuk Com and towards the sea.

(Last job at Mr Bag Fix in Bangkok was B.1700. But they replaced a zip and an entire section of canvas perfectly in 2 days. (And I didn't have to explain to them how to do it.) 2-300 sounds ok.)

Thanks for the tip, that guy I can recommend warmly.

To find the shop, exit Tuk Com, cross South Pattaya Rd and follow it to the right, in the direction of Big C, for 100-200 meters, across Buakhao rd.

He did a lot of extra work on the backpack while we chatted for over an hour. He had originally asked for 200 but I gave 400 and he seemed content.

From Tuk Com, you cross Buakhao and one more, small soi. It is just a little further than opposite Friendship, as I remember it. (From Tuk Com you start in the direction away from the ocean/Walking St., and go in the direction of Big C.)

It's still there and doing bag repair.  It is a small open air store front with a sign for shoe repair.  You're not going to spot it driving by.  It takes ground reconnaissance.  60 baht to re-secure the shoulder strap on a back pack.
