I'm interested in a cheap monthly rental with a pool near a beach (like Kata) in Phuket.

Apartment, condo, hotel, 5 bedroom villa, crappy "hong" within walking distance of the big salt water pool? Might want to clarify what exactly you are after along with your budget.

Thanks for the replies. I have a place in Phuket town for 6,000 Thb per month + Electric @ 8 Thb per unit. 500 Thb for wifi. I can rent a bike for 3500 Thb per month. But Kata Beach is 30 mins. So if I can get something like this near a beach I would like that. Otherwise I am fine with driving to the beach.

You will be driving to the beach then.

I think you would need to start your budget at around 12K per month.

If you wanted a bedsit with a shared pool you may find somewhere at around 8k permonth off season.
