Prayut proposes law change to control Motor Show 'pretties'

How about a law to charge people who kill people in their cars?

Why are you even talking about this?

Because he's still looking to add to his very short list of accomplishments.

I don't think anyone is complaining about pretty girls modeling at the car shows all around the world. All the shows I've ever been too the girls had on beautiful clothes, acted like professional models, just kind of a fixture that you expect at an automotive show. But what you don't expect is a porno show at an event such as this. You want a sexy dance routine ,go to one of the many bars and clubs around Bangkok to get your rocks off.

Out of all the pressing issues this country is facing, I am glad the PM delivered a hypocritical tidbit on some outdated conservative claptrap.

Tut Tut! This is illegal. There was a crackdown just a few years ago to enforce a law banning the wearing and sale of military camo clothing to other than military personnel. This condones breaking of the law. Where are the police when you need them. Citizens arrest?

His knees just twitched.

And what is the proposed law going to say? You will get yourself in trouble general.

I can't believe I'm even bothering with this...but, I can't help myself LOL. How does it make sense to fine the women who have been paid by the motor show, or, car manufacturers to turn up dressed like that?! [face palm]

Such a conservative and hypocritical society. How about girls who work in bars and such places all over Thailand? You could make a long list of places where pretties dress proactively.

The difference is that those are private establishments and children are, in theory, not allowed entry. The Motor Show is a public event and children attend it.

Personally, I go to see the cars and don't want pretties in the way when I'm taking photos (of the cars), thank you.

So kids can watch tv every night and watch the poor being bullied, women being assaulted, guns and knifes used to kill people, but people moving in a sexual way will corrupt their little minds so must be banned? Talk about getting your priorities right!

is this man a frustrated comedian?, some police died in deep south, the well connected killing the innocent on the road without fear of justice.

he makes trump look like a great leader.

Frustrated comedian.......cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

He's actually a pretty damned GOOD comedian!

The problem is: he's the only one who is not aware of it.

I noticed young children at the motoexpo who just opened the new Benz, touched everything on the dashboard like it was a toy, then the brother also had to sit behind the wheel. Then they run around like crazy chickens and mummy had to catch them....Very low class krab!

Children don't belong at a moto expo, that's why Bentley had a fence around their cars i guess.

The Chinese influence extends deeper into Thai culture and attitude.

Or am I wrongly accusing China? Is it not similar to Australia recently.

And in the U.K recently.

So you think this happened in a vacuum? The 'pretty' just showed up to strut her stuff? The car dealership hired her and her male partner to do this. The hammer should fall on the HiSo dealership owner, not the freaking performers. Did anyone call out the guy in jeans? No. The dealership? No. Just the female performer! This is bunk.

I recall during the Thaksin regime some half-witted, slack-jawed imbecile 'official' trying to ban 'spaghetti' tops and short skirts around Valentine's day, when that utterly failed even though they had teams of 'morality volunterers in some downtown malls, trying to identify and get 'offenders' to cover up; then came an even sillier proposed ban on Beer Promo girls (which thankfully never came to pass). Thailand really is ludicrous at times in it's attempts to appear conservative and respectable.

"by saying the authorities need to impose a limit on how sexual the auto shows can be.

"This is a matter of individual conscience."

so which is it? Individual conscience or authorities meddling?

Posted

Yes, this is exactly what Thailand needs! It will solve all the other problems and restart the economy. Set up a high level committee and let's get on with it.

Bring on the Sharia. The muslims in South will finally be happy and no one will be pretty.

Hope someone can help me please.

I have searched all over Google and other places and cannot find the link that will show how many people died at this tragic motor show and what were the most common and numerous nationalities.

A further and minor supplementary question, how many of the pretties were Burmese? Because they may have been at the root cause of this horrific tragedy.

But at least the famous Defender of Bangkok has returned happjness to the Red Bull family amidst all the other carnage.

Trying reading what you search on the Red Bull heir case more carefully. It happened prior to the the current government taking power. The previous government also chose to do nothing.

Both governments vowed to support justice, vowed that some cases would be thoroughly investigated and concluded. Both governments were supported by vows from very senior policemen.

Very little happened as the word translated as "vow" clearly means something different. No government seems willing to take on reforming the justice system. Easier to make meaningless vows.

But hey, this is much more serious than all those cases involving mysterious deaths, fatal accidents, murders, serious fraud and crimes. Could corrupt the whole countries morals.

Just like hypocritical Victorian Britain. All is o k as long as discreet.

Since the junta seized power Baer numerous extradition requests have been made around the world by the Thai Junta, all of them unsuccessful. However the junta has made sure that Vorayuth Yoovidhya's name stayed off the list. In that context they have returned happiness to the wider Red Bull family. This thread has nothing to do with Victorian England, modern day Somalia or Pinochet's Chile.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we are about to land at Bangkok International Airport please turn your watches back to a junta approved time.

In principle, I agree that a high profile public display of soft porn is distasteful, especially when families are present. There are other private venues who cater for such tastes. However, it is not the PM's job to involve himself in such matters, but for other BKK officials who should be vetting the organisers of such displays, and if need be banning the performances and/or fining them. It's not difficult.

As to the performers, a 5000 baht fine is peanuts in the grand scale of things, when their pictures are posted on most media sites, and more job opportunities arise for miss silicone tits...
