TAK: -- A huge fire broke out at a border warehouse in Mae Sot district of Tak province last night, engulfing the entire six-room building where several thousands of imported second hand bicycles, spareparts and car tires stored inside were destroyed.

A dozen of fire trucks were rushed to the border warehouse No 9 at Ban Tha-art of Tambon Sailuad in Mae Sot when firemen were alerted of the fire at 9 pm last night.

The fire raged quickly due to the huge stocks of car tires making firemen to be unable to keep it under control.

Backhoe was ordered in to demolish the concrete wall of the warehouse to allow firemen to get close to the flaming rubber stocks to distinguish the fire.

The fire was kept under control three hours later.

All the goods insisted the warehouse worth about 10 million baht were destroyed by the fire.

Forensic police went to inspect the scene Monday morning to find the exact cause of the fire.

The only interesting point to note about this news item is that Thai PBS are in need of 'proof-reader' with more than a miniscule grasp of the English language.
