Tyre totation

Featured Replies

Just had pick, rear wheel drive only, serviced and the garage rotated the wheels, as per old cross ply's I think.

Now I got tyre noise.

I have no idea which wheel went where and don't want to buy new tyres, at least 5mm all around on treads.

How long before they bed in again?

I assume you mean tyre ROTATION, if so the norm is LHF to RHR and RHF to LHR

I always take that as being for cross ply tyres. Radials now should only be swopped front to rear/rear to front same side to keep same direction of tyre rotation.

However the garage took all 4 wheels of to do the brakes and put them back on as they picked them up so I dont know what went where.

Mathematically there could be quite a few options to try before you could get them back to original position ....I have actually marked my wheels ...important to record which mark goes on which corner though ....

I'm sitting here with that " If only look on my face" sad.png

As you say many combinations to try but just can't go through it all.

Perhaps time will cure it.

It was done by the main agent who said it with the 'aren't we clever look'
