63 kilometers on some roads I discover ..

Here, I can know I'm at 10 kilometers from the main road 2091

I have roads similar to villagefarang one's ; nobody , deserted roads with sometimes a truck or a motorbike

About the truck, in the "trucks and buses " line I'm asking about the brand; it's like an old Isuzu but not the same body

Always, in Thailand, we can discover a huge something on a secondary road; here a beautiful cheddi

belonging to this Wat

No flash but I had the sun in front of me

I'm at about 5 kilometers from the main road, entrance of a village where they are enlarging the pond

It's Thailand ; a " stop " mark in the middle of nowhere

And two kilometers later, arriving the main road, no stop

When cycling you can turn your head on the left or the right , here it's on my right, behind some huge vegetation

I know where is the road to go there, so ...

yesterday a little " decrassage" my wife and I on our MTBikes; we did 45 km;

Here an old tobacco mill , abandonned; I shall go there to-morrow again to visit that much and shoot more photos

A Wat along the road

The beginning of a very difficult road; we are going to Phu_Chi_Fa mountain

Thai people are often funny; on the road mark it's written 8%; maybe because they never found the other road marks where it's written 28 %

When I saw that road mark, I decided to come back, my wife was waiting for me on the main road ..

At 1 pm the same day, villagefarang came with his SUV to our Resort which is at the end of Phaya Mengrai on the road going to Khun_Tan;

I came with him my wife was tired after her cycling ride in the morning ;

and we decided to take the same road I did the morning but going at the top of the mountain;

with a bicycle, even a MTBike it's a very difficult road; sometimes percentages more than 30 % ; I'm sure , and villagefarang was sure as I was .

If youn have eyes of a lynx you can discover Phu_Chi_Fa mountain on this not very beautiful photo ; it's about at 20 km from us

Yesterday , with Lai, my wife, we went to Phu_Chi_Fa with our pickup ( did 175 km in that day );

The same road as yesterday with villagefarang;

a little stop at a house where you can find a photo of the " feet mark " of Rama IX and a beautiful tree

We are at a few kilometers from Phu_Chi_Fa

At the top, a man with a camera and a laser printer if you want a photo of you ( if you don't like selfies )

60 baht the photo, I know it's only 5 baht in a town, but here they are Hmong and you all know how they are disconsidered by thai administration, so if we can help them a little bit ..

not yet, we are still in Phaya Mengrai; we will come back in two days, the 12th of may because we must be in Udon next friday morning ;

a meeting at the Centara hotel with the french Consul .

We saw roads where you will or can enjoy with your beautiful Honda 650 cc

The day , 9th of may isn't finished;

We decide to come back to Phaya Mengrai by the road going to Chiang Khong;

in the mountain many chineses villages , like on the other side of Chiang Rai province ( Mae Salong , for ex )

We are in the valley of the Mae_Nam_Khong ( Mekong )

Today was/is still the tenth of may and Lay and I were on our MTBike for a little loop ; we did 52 kilometers;

Living our resort, we had a stop less than 2 km later ; on our left side a beautiful " Big Bouddha "

Today, wednesday 11th of may 2016 a loop alone; Lai is still tired after her 52 km yesterday .

So a loop rd 1152 to road 1020;

at the lights on the right direction Thoeng;

In Thoeng, again on my right on road 1020 ( same number ) , about 10 kilometers and turn right again on road 1174 direction Phaya Mengrai ;

total kilometers today 65

A long time I don't send photos here;

Coming back from villagefarang province, wonderfull one ! ,we left Phaya_Mengrai at 5 am thursday 12th of may coming back to Udon Thani where we arrived end of afternoon the same day .

Looking for a good hotel not far from Centara which is , I think, very expensive, we passed the night at the Pannarai hotel in the " farang" street;

it's between the Central Plaza and the railway station ;

A nice room, a private parking for the pickup

And a big breakfast in the morning

where I have eaten something which was not good for my stomach;

I think it was the ham ;

I ate an egg and my wife also, a salad and my wife also

and she was not ill;

but she didn't ate some pieces of ham

In the middle of afternoon, I was suddenly in fever and incapable of doing anything ..

Ok, a turista, so I can eat much kao thom and in 24 hours it's finished .

It was not a turista but an alimentary intoxication;

one and half a day in the Sawang hospital with many blood , urine and "ki" exams, electroencephalogram, chest X-ray... and a nice room for me , formidable ( Aznavour );

I came back home yesterday afternoon ;

I'm still a little bit in the sky; lost 6 kg in one day !

Even listening my favorite music on U-Tube ( Hans Zimmer & Lisa Gerrard ), difficult to write on the laptop .;

so excuse me if not often here on TV forum .

I'm still a little bit weak after my disease, so I stay at home , eating drugs and vitamines .

they are so little 5 years and 2,5 kg for the black and white

6 months and 1 ,2 kg for the brown

Today, monday 23 of may I did 70 kilometers on my MTBike; only normal roads;

now, in the rainy season I don't go on red roads, I don't have the good tyres for that .

Never knew if these are petroleum tankers or for liquid sugar; there is a huge sugar mill on the other side of the road

After a night with much rain;

it was still raining a little bit this morning when I decided to go on the roads with my MTBike ;

What we can see from our garden

Outside our village , less than one km from our house

we are at Prasat Khom, about 15 km from Sawang Daen Din;

no curv as you can see on the last photo;

for me another sleeping driver ; it's " fresh " not yet police, only people from the company with a truck tractor " solo " and a big another crane truck

I think so but in Thailand it's never the fault of the driver;

it's , u have the choice :

- brakes failed

- it was raining

- somebody was talking to the driver

- and so on ...

I bought a MT bike about 4 months ago, and I only put maybe 20 km in it... on flat roads around home!

Hot, tired, sweating... OMG! Not a pleasant experience...

...

Well, maybe I have to give it another try...
