FLR (m) extension, when to apply

Hi, My wifes visa is coming to an end November 2016, is there rules on when you can submit the application for extension? Can we send the application now for example.

You can apply anytime, but they will process it when they receive it, and you need to get the 5 years. If you do not then a further FLR will be required (ouch ) expensive enough already
