Alpinestars buckle help please!

Featured Replies

Long shot here but if anyone out there has an old pair of Alpinestars moto boots I am in dire need of a mid boot buckle for my Tech 3s. Same buckle as Tech 7 and maybe some others.

Thanks

eBay mate .. They come from the states or UK - so should be on your doormat within the week.

Yeah thanks, already checked. About 1,000-1,200 for a set if four.......but only need the one! Therein lies the problem.

They come in packs of four because there wouldn't be enough profit in selling one. On the other hand they would probably be interested in selling you one for 600 baht!

If one is broken the chances are another is on the way out.

You paid $200 ++ for a pair of boots but don't want to spend 30 so you can wear them again? whistling.gif

Buy the four of eBay then re sell the 3 you don't want on eBay might end up getting your one for free....???

hahaha....best reply yet!

Anyway, all my buckles are sound but I have absurdly high arches in my feet so the front buckles do not adjust far enough to not pinch on the top of my foot thus the desire to replace the short front buckle with a medium length middle buckle!

How many different size 'buckles' [maybe bails]

are on each boot?

Photo would help.

Toss bottom and replace with 2nd from top.

Use only three for a while.

Or try old boy trick.
Remove and hang up with a weight on bottom,
then heat the strap with heat gun
until desired stretch is attained.
That is why they call them thermo-plastics.facepalm.gif

Thanks Papa, might try the heat and stretch method and if that doesn't work I was thinking about the idea of losing one of the middle straps as well and moving it down to the foot.
