Branflakes

Yes, even more so if you add some wheat germ to them.

That seems like a good answer. Never checked but I suppose Foodland does have them?

Lately been suffering from what I term Gene Pitney problems.

Picture singing, with a pained expression on your face !

I can feel you're slipping away from me

And I'm SO afraid I beg with you to staaaaaayyyyyyy ?

Tesco has them, but with dried fruit and at twice the price the same packet sells for in the UK.

I don't detect a discernible difference, even though my Mummy told me they will give you a good run for your money*. I stick with them cos even if they don't loosen me up, a regular (PNI**) portion counts as one of your "5-a-day" apparently. That plus some baked beans on granary toast means you are three-fifths of the way to a healthy eating target before you even get to lunch!

** pun not intended

Anything with a decent level of non-soluble fibre will have a similar effect.

Personally I can't stand the taste of bran flakes, plus they're imported so expensive here.

A cheaper alternative is psyllium husk. A heaped teaspoon stirred into a glass of water or juice then swiftly knocked back every morning should do the trick. (It also tastes vile, but not as bad as bran flakes, and is quicker to consumer.) Psyllium husk is sold at Villa and by online health stores here, and probably elsewhere.

Easily available everywhere...papaya with digestive enzymes and guava with high fiber. Eat every day for regularity. Malakaaw and farang in thai

Weetabix are pretty good and in most supermarkets not too expensive either.

However, they do contain some added sugar.

True that, 1 gram per serving according to the box

I might add to the thread that constipation (Ok I said it...) is often brought on by poor diet, not just a lack of fiber.

Eating loads of meat/protein (even protein supplements)

Eating loads of Rice

Not eating vegetables and fruits daily

You might easily fix the 'flow' issue with bran but your body is still being smothered with crap if your diet is not balanced.

Just some thoughts.

Kellogg's All Bran seems to be the breakfast cereal with the highest fiber content and it's available in sometimes in Tops and almost always in Rim Ping in Chiang Mai, so I would expect in Bangkok, too. I like it better than bran flakes because it has more crunch. For breakfast, I usually have fresh fruit (payaya and pineapple) topped with non-fat plain yogurt and then All Bran sprinkled on top. Have to eat soon after preparing because if the All Bran gets soggy, it just isn't as good.

If I put my hand on heart I would have to say guilty.
