This query is vexing me...!

Thai national living in France with her French boyfriend and they have son who has a French Passport.

Thai national and her son wants to come to the UK for a week to attend a wedding.

She has a card from French immigration which gives her 12 months stay in France which can be renewed in France.

Would she need a C Visa to visit the UK as she has a thai passport.

She may qualify for an EEA family permit, provided her French partner is travelling with her. Although these are usually used for those coming to the UK to live and exercise an economic treaty right, not just for a holiday.

That they are not married complicates things as well.

I think she'd be better to apply for a Standard visitor visa.

I concur, the EEA permit should not be an issue if the couple is in a relation akin to marriage (shared household for 2+ years by the UKs definition).
