Hello everyone !

Does anyone know of the whereabouts of a vintage typewriter shop in Bangkok, or sell one in a good state and for under nine thousand baht ?

I've seen some other threads about this topic but upon further research they were unsuccessful ~

I want a typewriter for the pleasure of making awesome looking text and also just to be able to type on one of those pieces of history. A netbook/computer certainly doesn't give you the same giddiness as hearing the "click click" of physical letters being put onto paper.

Just looked at Craigslist for Thailand, nothing there right now. You might check it now and then.

In the past I have seen computer fonts that look like old typewriter fonts and software that makes the clickerty clak typewriter noise including the 'ping' as you press enter to go to the next line.

As I said in the past so sorry have no links for you, but Google should help.

Not what you asked but maybe an alterative to play with.

Try Machine Age Workshop in Ekamai. Or some of the antique shops in the same area.

Or maybe the antique area at the back of the Rot Fai market on Srinakarin road.
