Whilst i'm against the rise in price by bkk air, there are many other things that I think are for more damaging to the island than this.

Unfortuantley as foriegners in Thailand there is little we can do, the Thai's have to take the initiative.

Most of them do not realise the effect the miriad of problems has on samui. Most probobally due to lack of eductation they can only link obvious financial things as something that will have a negative effect on their rice bowl.

There will be NO fare increase by Bangkok Airways, so all of you who have worried, just relax and take it easy....... :o

sometimes i miss a good cheese salad or tuna baguette, where can i buy the best on the island...and how much??? :D

LaoPo,

There are several shops that have the products & they vary in price & quality.

El Moulino on the ring road Chaweng has it.In Lamai,as you turn left from the ring road at the McDonald sign, past the vacant block of land on your left, there is a group of shops .The name escapes me,but they have a Sunbelt Asia sign out front. They have Parma ,coppa, real leg ham off the bone, natural youghurt etc...... the only thing I didn't like there is the pickled cucumbers.

As for nice bread either at El Moulinos or the baguettes from tesco. These I empty the dough out once I cut them & just fill them with goodies.

Bon appetite. :D

Since you confused us with Airfare hikes and where to get great Baguettes, just down the road from the Airport on the way to Big Buddha there was Big Poppa's Pizza they did excellent Baguettes with everuthing except the Kitchen Sink..Give it a Try.. :o

Sorry El Moulino is after the hospital, before the PTT.

Big Poppa drove past the other day, looked empty. They could have been refitting, I'll check it out again.

I've been back in Phuket for 6 months he well may have gone the usual way, pity though the Baguettes were to die for..

Colibri food supplier in soi colibri (next soi from zicos brazilian grill) have good selection of cold cuts and everything what you want when you need some goooood. Parma ham, sausages, cheeses, olives, western style high quality import meat and fish products, etc..... :o

Masalas in Choeng Mon do blinding baguettes, my personal favorite is the chicken tikka, try it and you'll thank me. All baguettes are 120 baht.

Ask Scott, the owner, how he got those marks on his knees.
