I have read a number of postings on this subject, but wondered if anyone had any actual experience of how long it would take for a tourist visa to be processed from the UK, as I am on a short time frame ie. roughly 5 weeks.

I am UK citizen, living in London, home owner, good job, sufficient savings, with Thai wife. She is here on 2 year settlement visa, she has a job, some savings and credit cards.

We wish to go to Australia for a 2 week holiday to stay with my brother (australian citizen, homeowner, good job, money in the bank etc).

Overall, I am sure our case stacks up well for my wife to get a tourist visa, but my brother is due to get married in 6 weeks and we want to go out together for the weeding.

Anyone with any similar experiences, tips or knowledge of how long it would take to apply and receive confirmation, would be much appreciated.
