Does anyone know whether Vietnam has extended its visa waiver programme for certain European countries? It was originally due to end this month.

Thanks.

Yes, either purchase one of the unofficial letters from an agent in Vietnam and then pay for a visa stamp on arrival, or get a visa from the Consulate before you leave.

Whilst the agent letters are unofficial and the Consulates warn against them, I've never heard of anyone encountering a problem when using one.

Without a visa in your passport or a VOA letter in your possession, you probably wouldn't be allowed to board an aircraft to Vietnam.
