I planning to go to the US for a holiday.

As I don't have any credit card I would like to use travelers cheques. I am taking about ~$10000.

Where is the cheaper place to buy travelers cheques.

From what I remember American Express were not too expensive but it was a few years ago so maybe the cost has increased

i've never purchased travelers cheques , but I though they were at a fixed price.

Better to use a credit card. They are accepted everywhere. There pre-paid options. Consult your bank.

Do Travelers Cheques still exist?

If so, I can't imagine too many Shop Assistants in Australia, America or the UK who would have the faintest idea of what one is.
