What can you do now in Thailand that you couldn't do twenty years ago?

  • Jump on the skytrain
  • Pay your bills at 7-11
  • Get locked up for stating your opinion
  • Buy a big bike
  • Sign on every 90 days
  • Visit Suwwannaphum airport

I'd go back to the Thailand of the 20 years ago in a heartbeat, spare me the generation of narcissism

and self indulgences of today, the slaves and depended of the digital media that without it people will

kill themselves with out FB, instagram and alike, the air was cleaner prices cheaper, people much nicer

and don't get me started on the ladies and the nightlife.....

Communication, then I was using CompuServe dial up and then Loxinfo and also a fax machine, it’s so much better now. But it does have its down side,.........now you can never get away from the office.

And I know it would have been much more fun the other way round, but the emphasis on my post was how technology is affecting the way we live, besides if I asked you lot what you could do twenty years ago, but can't today, I think the mods would be busy!

get 35 Baht for a dollar!

go ice-skating or bowling in Udon!

find a clean bathroom while traveling by car

get a cup of fresh coffee (not Nescafe instant)

get a driver's license in one day......renew a driver's license in one day

get a refund from the store for a defective item

many many more!
