BANGKOK: -- The controversial abbot of Wat Dhammakaya, Phra Dhammachayo, is now facing arrest on sight after two arrest warrants were issued by two courts.

The latest warrants was issued this week by Loei provincial court for the encroachment on Phu Rua forest reserve in  Loei province.

Department of Special Investigation (DSI) director general Pol Col Phaisit Wingmuang said the abbot now faces two arrest warrants issued by two courts.

This meant that he could be arrested any time on sighting by authorities, he said.

He said the abbot is still inside the Dhammakaya temple.

Phra Dhammachayo faced first arrest warrant issued by Pathumthani provincial court for money-laundering and ill-gotten wealth charges linked to an embezzlement case involving the funds of  Klongchan Credit Union Cooperative.

The DSI chief also said that on August 30 the public prosecutor would meet to consider whether to induct  the abbot.

If the decision on the indictment is agreed, the the DSI will seek warrant from the court for the second time  to search the temple for the abbot to face charges.

So what's the current state of his health?

Will this case again go through more numerous backwards and forwards statements and claims about his health / ll health?

My guess is yes.

So surely the DSI should be anticipating this and quickly be asking for an acceptable complete and up to date medical report.

They need to inform his protectors both armed and not. That they will indeed face serious prison time for interfering.  Cut off all the power and lay seige to the place. Enough is enough. Half of his fanatical followers probably even believe that stupid looking temple is a spaceship.

Well lets see, The Police seem to be afraid to enter the temple to

arrest him, and he's not coming out of the temple anytime soon,

so it seems the arrest warrants are not worth the paper they are

written on.

I think DSI might be a little late.... the Abbott was inducted at the beginning of his ministry....

I think the army n police should mount a secret operation to snatch him from inside without being seen.

Now the fiasco with the search warrant starts again :coffee1: Surely an arrest warrant supercedes the need for a search warrant

Time to play now you see him now you don't. Go in and get him BIB don't be shy. Your afterlife will remain intact. He will not put a curse on you.

You're wrong. He will. Many curses.

But in their afterlife they will see they don't work

problem is the police, DSI and the army all lack the balls to go in and get him, never seen such pathetic law enforcement in my life as I have here. The man is a criminal but they pussy foot around instead of just grabbing the bastard, thai law is a total joke.
