Went back to my home country and used an internet cafe to send some mails. At the same time I updated my new (home country) phone number. Shortly afterwards, I got a g-mail message, indicating that (in plain english): Somebody might be fiddling with my g-mail account since my messages were sent from a different computer, not based in Thailand.

- I then confirmed twice "Everything OK boys, it's me and I have been traveling". Useless:

Messages do not reach my inbox. The messages I send out never reach the recipient, but they appear under "sent messages" (is that funny or not?).

Instead of doing battle with g-mail to get my account back up, I may likely just look for another e-mail provider that is fully aware, that in the age of globalization and a lot of intercontinental travel, it is not automatically a security-risk when an account is being addressed by a different computer from a different country.

Any suggestions? Thx & cheers.

You seem to have two or more "issues": security/privacy, and email functionality.

First make sure your account is set up properly at myaccount.google.com and step through the three main tabs:

Then trouble-shoot the email issue.

If you have a smartphone I recommend using authenticator.
