Do you mean you have been together apart (her in Thailand and you in UK)?

As you dont mention marriage then your girlfriend can apply for a tourist visa or a student visa. As you dont mention her desire to study in uk then can only assume it'll be a tourist visa.

With a tourist visa work in UK is prohibited, so is access to public funds (medical etc).

As it's her first tourist visa it is unlikely she will get longer than 6 months to stay in the UK but the good news is that it will allow her multiple entries during that 6 month period. However if she wants to go to any EU country she will have to apply for a schengen visa to get into that country, the schengen visa will allow her to freely travel from one EU country to another but if she returns to UK she will have to apply again for a schengen visa to depart for a EU country again.

If she wants to go to USA then she will have to apply for a Visa for USA.

The consulates usually advises that Thai passport holders must apply for all their visas in Thailand before they leave, in practice it is often possible to request them once in UK.

You will have to do all this in 6 months from the day the visa is issued to the day she returns from UK, she will then have to stay out of the UK for another 6 months before she is likely to get another tourist visa to visit UK.

You have to get a visa for America from the embassy in Thailand, they won't issue one in the UK. My wifes cousin tried when he was visiting us in the UK, and he wanted to return to Thailand via Texas to see his aunt who lived there. As for your girlfriend working in the UK She can only do that if you get married or she gets a student visa and studies(then I think she can work up 20 hours a week).

Then I think if you want to follow your dreams you will have to consider getting married. You can do that two ways, either get married in Thailand and then apply for a settlement Visa which with the time you have spent together and you having a job and place to stay in UK you should have a good chance of getting or you can get engaged and apply for a Fiancee Visa which will give her 6 months in the UK to arrange the marriage (if you dont get married she will have to return and it could give you problems applying for Visa in the future)

She will not be able to work until you are actually married (cannot work on a Fiancee Visa) However once married she can do virtually what she wants in UK except vote.

Bear in mind however she comes to UK she will remain a Thai citizen travelling on a Thai passport so any trips she may wish to make to others countries from UK she must satisfy the immigration regulations of that country pertaining to a Thai citizen.

She wont be able to apply to become a British citizen until she's lived in UK for a few years but as the spouse of a British citizen the schengen visa will be easy to get and free.

When you decide, if you have specific visa related questions come back to this forum there are plenty of experts around to give you details.

You can check out the British Embassy web site for extra info

Spend a bit of time looking through some previous threads and you will find lots of information and links relative to yourself. If you will do this you will be able to start to make some informed decisions.

Best of luck

She could apply for entry as a skilled worker, but highly unlikely to succeed as a young new graduate. A student visa application would only succeed if she had a confirmed place at a college/institution and could show that she had sufficient funds to pay for it, not easy at the overseas student tuition fee rate unless she were to get a scholarship. Other than that, it's the fiancee or marriage visa option if you want to marry her.
